Hey, I just made a connection between the effects of Spearmint tea and Spironolactone based on what one poster wrote. One cyster said the spearmint tea was making her urinate a lot. Well, when I was given Spiro, the doctor told me it has a diuretic effect and that I'd be going to the bathroom a lot. It is interesting that Spiro given to reduce androgens and is a diuretic and some have noticed that the spearmint tea acts like a diuretic....I think I'll be trying some of this stuff.

I started drinking the tea myself the past week and a half.. figured what the heck! lol

I have been peeing like crazy!!! If it works great, if it doesn't.. I pee a lot anyway.. so what's a few extra trips to the bathroom.

I do hope it helps some of us.. I can drink a cup of tea or 2.. and I don't use anything sweet either.. which is great.. i don't feel guilty like I would with another tea.

Interesting, my next question is, who would I get this from? Should I get a really good brand of spearmint tea or will any brand do?? I'm just curious because I'm stopping the Saw Palmetto soon as the bottles are empty but would like to try another anti-androgen/androgen-fighting herb.

i get it at my local healthfood store....it's loose dried spearmint leaves in a sealed white paper bag inside a rectangular cardboard tea package...it's not tea bags so you need to have a tea ball to use it. Flora brand from Flora Health...you can google it

Hi Everyone:

Just interested to see since time has passed since posting this thread whether or not anyone has honestly seen a difference from spearmint tea.

I wouldn't expect results this soon. As it hasn't been even one cycle yet.

Have you seen a difference or any results from using the spearmint tea to help with excess hair?
