I tried it... It didn't work for me. I didn't lose any weight and was always hungry. It works by limiting calories for 2 (refined carbohydrate) meals and that just doesn't do the trick for someone with insulin resistance. It is the opposite of what I needed--what worked was limited refined carbohydrates, balancing proteins and carbs, and many small meals throughout the day. (I'm also a big fan of apple cider vinegar shots before meals, though I haven't needed to do them since completely eliminating sugars and refined grains.)
I would imagine it is just for someone who wants to lose a few pounds in a short time. Who would want to eat two bowls of Special K and only one other meal every day for any length of time?

ME!! Sigh, I love cereal. But then again I wouldn't want to eat two bowls of Special K..... But the yogurt cheerios is my new favorite! Curse you diablolical IR!!

ajani~I dunno but she's funny. I love cereal so eating it doesn't bother me, I just don't eat it like twice a day.
