I know if you take clomid, you take it cycle days X through y, after a normal or induced period. Is this
a. you want to be sure you're not pregnant before taking it, and you want a nice clean uterine environment to plant your potential pregnancy in or
b. due to some other factor, maybe the clomid won't work at any other point in the cycle.
I'm wondering because I really want to try this spi thing to get my periods back on track. Since I'm not ttc, it really doesn't matter a whole lot what condition my uterus is in when I ovulate. So, if you're not doing it with the hopes of concieving, should taking it any old time result in ovulation... or would it be better to start out with a round of provera? It has only been about a month after I quit BCPs, so it's not like I have half a year's worth of stuff built up to worry about.
SPI worked for me after a round of Provera. I would recommend cleaning house just because it isn't healthy for you to not shed your lining. If you want to try a more natural method many cysters have used NPC and I hear that Pennyroyal has a similar effect to Provera.
soy protein isolate. I just realized that the stuff I am taking is "Soy isoflavons" so I don't even know that I am taking the right stuff!
Guess I'll know next week if it worked, heh. If I don't see Aunt FLo by the end of January, I'll give the provera a whirl. I'm hesitant to go the NPC route because I want to ovulate, not just have withdrawlal bleeding... that's all NPC does to you, isn't it?
you are using the right thing. in powder form it called soy protein isolate. it is the isoflavones in the spi that is suppose to help with O. in capsules form, it is simply the soy isoflavones without the soy protein. good luck.

6/6 increased met to 1500 mg
6/12 increased actos to 30 mg
7/11 reduced actos to 15 mg due to swelling

9/5/03 i ovulated for the 2nd time in my life. wow!!!
