Okay I went out and got some dietary supplements soy germ and it contains 20mg of isoflavones per serving... the serving size is 2 pills... so should I take 2pills in the morning and then another 2 at night so I have 40mg of isoflavones or is the 20mg sufficent enough to ovulate?
I took approx 20 mg of isoflavones cd5-9 and I O'd on cd 14, however I am 5'8" and 123 lbs. Depending on your relative weight, you may want to increase the amount you take.
Two things, though
You ask if that is enough to ovulate. I don't think anyone can answer that question. It is possible that SPI may not help you at all. I certainly hope if does, of course, but you seemed to be asking such a definitive question.
Also, Clomid is most effective when taken in the morning so I would not split up your dose. I would go for the whole thing in the am.
good luck,
Cheryl

okay it contains isoflavones.... so what is the break down of gensistein daidzein glycitein? If these are parts of the isoflaones then ummm why do I need to look for something with them broken down it should already contain them right or wrong?
As long as it says "contains isoflavones" that should be okay. I don't really know if one of them are more effective than another so I don't really have an opinion about the relative concentrations of the genistein, daidzein, glycitein.
In the SPI I use, it does say that the breakdown per serving is as follows:
Gen 36 mg
Dai 21 mg
Gly 3 mg
Like I said though I don't know if it makes a difference. If your says "isoflavones" I would think that would be sufficient.
