Default SPI--Pill v. Powder?

Hi all,

Anyone notice the difference in effectiveness between pill and powder SPI? I just bought the pills, but I may be o'ing on my own this month...A miracle!

Thanks,
FiFa

Default I have only tried the powder..

LSGMU1 has tried both. I think she O'd a couple days earlier with the pills. However, she took the pills cd3-7 and the powder was on cd5-9.

BTW....

I recently read that one of the reasons for taking clomid cd3-7 vs cd5-9 is that while both FSH and LH are secreted regardless of what regimed you use, the balance is shifted slightly toward FSH when taken on cd3-7.

I can think of one good reason that I am going to try the pills next cycle though...the powder is just disgusting.

I took the pills CD 3-7 again this cycle and keeping my fingers crossed for the same success. I prefer the pills because I'm not wasting my calories on something so disgusting!

Default CD 3-7 or CD 5-9??

Got AF today and am very excited so I am going to try the Soy Protein Isolate Powder that you have been talking about.

My question is: What is the benefit of starting this on CD 3-7 opposed to CD 5-9? I am not sure which is best for me.

I am a thin cyster with high LH

Default FSH vs LH

Clomid causes the release of both FSH and LH regardless of whether you take in cd 3-7 or cd 5-9. However, when taken cd 3-7 the balance is shifted slightly toward the FSH. We cysters definitely don't need extra LH! Anyway, since soy isoflavones act in the same general manner as clomid, you can weigh this info and see what you would like to do. Personally, I have shifted to the cd 3-7 regimen, as has LSGMU1.

i am on cd 14. i haven't o'd yet, and my temps are staying the same. i am doing the progesterone and estrogen creams. i have been reading about the spi. i bought the pills and was wondering what would happen if i took them now. i am really nervous that i won't have another period. i have waited for 7 months for this one, trying various things. i am also doing accupunture. and have recently lost 24lbs.

also, what is the deal with soy, like soy milk and other products. someone said we should stay away from them at certain times. is this true?
