Default Spiro and low blood pressure

Hi everyone,

When I visited my endo 4 months ago she prescribed me bcp Yasmine, dutasteride (Avodart) and Spiro.

My questions for you guys:

- Is there anyone out there with that same combo. What are your experiences?

- I took everything she ordered, except the Spiro b/c I'm a bit scared of the side effects. Especially since I have a rather low blood pressure to begin with (12/8). Endo said it was okay as long as I eat enough salt on my food. Anyone ever heard of this? What kind of side effects can I expect?

Thanks a lot!

Charlie

Post just "off" plus dut question

I started spiro 2 weeks ago, first at 50 mg daily now at 100 mg. At the 100mg mark I started to notice some symptoms. I am tired (that's nothing new) but sometimes dizzy also. I also seem to be just "off" in my daily life--like I drove off to McDonalds the other day and left the front door of the house wide open! Doh! The other night I almost carried a restarant glass home accidentally. I'm not sure if it's the spiro or not but they're not fun symptoms. Of course, I have allergies and live in the pollen capital of planet, perhaps is causing the "spaciness." I haven't noticed any size change or weight change. I also haven't peed any more than usual, despite spiro being a diuretic. Of course, my bod holds onto fluid like a friggin camel. I must admit though--my acne skin looks 100% better _so far_. There's already a small bit of spiro-like progestin in your Yasmin--why does your doc want to add Spiro?

And also I'm dying of curiosity--how is the dutasteride working?? Have you regrown any hair, especially in the frontal area? I haven't noticed any hair changes yet for spiro, but it's only been 2 weeks.

Background: my lab work is always "normal" and I'm an average-sized cyster.

Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.
