 Spiro, propecia, no bcp
Is there anyone on both Spiro and Propecia but NOT on a bcp? What have been your results?
I was on yasmin and propecia (.5mg daily) and had good results. Developed rosacea last year. Had tried spiro before instead of propecia, but had crazy AF bleeding problems at both 50mg and 100mg. I know yasmin also has the equivalent of 25mg of spiro in it.
Had to stop taking BCP's (all of them). And the antibiotic I was taking for rosacea. Not ttc.
Skin was initially very clear after stopping yasmin, but some redness/acne is returning--I'm thinking it's from either stopping the antibiotic or from not getting that little bit of spiro in the Yasmin. Dr thinks maybe adding 25mg of Spiro in would be helpful.
Is there anyone taking spiro w/o bcp? Have there been any problems? Good results?

- Yasmin 1xday2001-March 2009
- Spiro 50mg 1xday Oct 07-Jan 08; stopped due to bleeding and low BP side effects at higher dosages. Started again at 50mg March 09-present.
- Propecia .5mg 1xday Jan 08-Dec08. Started again March 09-present
- Diagnosed in 2001. Found a Dr that would treat me for PCOS in 2007.
