Default spiro shed-did you have one and for how long?

I am starting spiro, and I was wondering if any of you ladies have any wisdom from experience to offer me about the legendary spiro sheds. How long do these terrible experiences last? A few months? Did some of you not have the sheds at all? I started taking finasteride again, which has worked great for me in the past with the head hair. I do not want to blow it by adding spiro, but I hear that it is great, great, great for body hair. Hard choice, but going for it. Any help with this would be great.

I never experienced any shedding when I started taking Spiro. I take it for facial hair and it has been great.

I had a shed that lasted for just a few weeks. It started after I had been on Spiro for about 2 weeks. I also started BCP at the same time. After the initial shed, it's been all good.

Laikola, are you taking the Spiro to reduce body hair, or stop hair loss?

Wow. So many of you have had great results on spiro. Thank you for letting me know how unusual the spiro shed is. I had to go off of spiro because I had what one of my doctors thinks is an allergic reaction to it. It was worth a try though right?

I never had a spiro "shed", but I am only taking 25 mgs per day, and I don't think it has had much, if any, effect on my body hair. Can those of you who had a "shed" tell me what it was like, and how high a dose of the spiro you are on, and if you are also taking metformin at the same time?
