Does nayone else take Spironolactone and have an early onset of Arthritis? Just wondering if my dr is the only one who thinks there is a connection. Thnx!!!

Haven't heard of or seen anything linking Sprinolactone to early onset arthritis. I was on Spironolactone for a couple of years when I was about 20. I developed arthritis in my neck when I was 33 and was put back on Spironolactone 4 years ago when i was 38. I am on meds for arthritis but don't know if the Spiro has made it any worse. Came off the Spiro recently as I hate the taste and smell of them...lol but have had to go back on them to control ankle and foot swelling as Spiro is one of the better diuretics to deal with that. So I now take it every other day, makes me feel better that I can skip a day of nasty taste ...lol Interesting thread Naymarie.

Tx - metformin slow release 2000mg. Insulin 5 times a day
