My Endo rx'd Spironolactone & Vaniqa for me yesterday .. it was my first visit. I've had hairy issues for YEARS (20) never been on anything for it - so my ? is how many of you are on this? Is it as wonderful as I think it will be - should I continue my shaving / plucking routine daily or just shaving?

also wondering if spiro helped anyone lose weight? Right now i am only on 25 mg 2x/day ... she said she'd up my dose if necessary - how will I know?

anyway just wanted experience / feedback on these 2 rx ... I go for my 2 hr glucose test tomorrow as well as Insulin, c-peptide etc ... I think if i am for sure IR she will add Metformin to my mix ... ??? Also on Loestrine 24 FE .. for me this is a huge change .. never been on any reg meds other than BCP in my life!

ive been on 100 spiro a day for about 7 years now . It does help with the hair, but i do still have to shave each day. My endo said that it takes about 9-12 months to get to maximum result. It hasnt made any difference to my weight.
