Let me start by saying I never get AF, I can go years literally and not see her. All the sudden about 2 weeks ago I started spotting. Now, I have gotten AF twice this year, once trying a new BCP that I never even finished the full month of, and one that was induced by that med...(I can't think of the name). I started Met 2 weeks ago, but the spotting started a few days before it. I have only bled onto a pad like twice, the rest has just been when I wipe (I know TMI). Sometimes just a little pink, somtimes like red w/small clots. Anyone have any idea why all the sudden this is happening? Do you think my body is finally trying to work or is this something else I need to be watchful of?? Not really sure what to make of it, but I'm going on my 3rd week of light spotting.

Bump. Me too! [similar symptoms] (thinking it's first unassisted af in forever. it's only been 4 dyas of spotting. I am wondering if maybe it's implantation bleeding -- but probably just wishful thinking.) i'm relatively new to met (about 6 weeks).

i'm overseas without access to my doc (or a home pg test). time shift (13 hours) could be doing have something to do with it?

hoping someone else who has had the same spotting will let us know how it turned out.

I'm auditing this course at school and we're learning about the menstral cycle and we were discussing when the endometrial lining was being shed so I asked what happens when it doesn't shed, is that when you dont get a period?

The prof gave an interesting response. If there's no bleeding you probably didn't cycle at all but if there's spotting then you did probably cycle but the lining isn't exiting the body like its supposed to and could mean you need a DNC if the spotting continues.

Its something you might want to contact your doctor about. But I too can go months upon months without one and have spotted now without actually getting a period so I've decided I should call my doctor about it.
