Default spotting/AF after D&C

Today has been 5 weeks since my D&C. I'm having a dilemma re. spotting and AF.
I have been spotting nonstop since the D&C. I did have 2-3 on no spotting this week then yesterday I had a heavier flow, dark red blood and small clots. I feel like it could be AF.

What do you think? I'm suppose to take Clomid.

btw - my OB never followed my HcG levels down and they won't do anything until I've been spotting for at least 6 weeks.

Your advice is very much appreciated. I've just been so upset and frustrated over this spotting. I just hope this is my AF so i can move on.

Thanks,
holly

Default Probably AF

Since it's suddenly heavier, it's probably AF. Can you call the doc and ask them?

The office is closed. I guess I'm going to assume it's AF. This is very new territory for me.

thanks

Unfortunately, there's really no way to tell... I had very light spotting for quite a while & then all of a sudden I had very heavy bleeding. My betas were still above 0 so it was definately not AF. You really need to get a second opinion & get at least 1 more beta done. I'm not trying to scare you or anything but there have been some women that didn't get their betas monitored & they either needed a second D&C or they ended up getting an infection that made it even worse.

I highly recommend demanding from your dr another beta for your own health or getting a second opinion.
