Question Spotting on Day 3 of Provera?

I'm currently taking 10mg Provera. I'm on day 3 out of 10 and I started spotting. By the looks of it, I think AF will be starting very soon. So...

Do I finish taking the rest of my Provera for this month or should I stop once I have a normal flow? I'm thinking that I should finish them anyway, but has anyone else dealt with this?

All help is greatly appreciated!

I have had that happen before. My doc said to continue the provera for the full 10 days. The first day after you are done with the pills (and bleeding) is day 1. I hate it when that happens. (Mostly because you probably would you have started fully without the Provera and you get to deal with the fun side effects.)

Have you discussed increaseing your met dose? Once I got to the 2000 mg/day, I went from 63 day cycles to 28 days without using Provera.

Thanks Kalliek! Now I know when I should start my Femara!
I asked my doctor about increasing my Met dosage last month at my last exam. She said she'd rather not because my blood insulin levels are well within the normal range without the Met. She actually said she'd like to take me off of it by next year. The Met has helped get my cycles to be more normal, but I don't know if it's actually the Met or that I lost weight after taking it. She thought it was most likely the weight loss that helped so much.

The met made me lose weight without really trying. I was about 135 in May and now I am 123. I thought that would be bad, but my doc was almost excited. She said even small amounts of weight loss will help. My insulin levels and glucose levels were all normal too.

Good luck to you!!
