I have been on Apri/Desogen for a while now. For the last two months I have been spotting almost all month. This has never happen to me before and is quite annoying. I also get breast tenderness and cramps even when I don't have my period and am not due for it. My Body is going haywire. Any thoughts? Anyone have these problems? Thanks in advance.

I spotted continuously while I was on Ovcon 35..My Gyn. switched me to Yasmin and the spotting stopped. I guess maybe Ovcon was not a high enough dose..but I don't know..I understand how frustrating the spotting can be!

I've done this on virtually every bcp I've ever been on.

Yasmin worked best, but even then the spotting returned after a year. According to my doctor, it's not unusual among PCOSers and he switched my bcp to Ovcon-50, which worked six weeks before the spotting resumed. I've got an appt to discuss it with him.

Sorry that I don't have any real answers, just similar experience. Believe it or not, it's actually listed as a side effect on most bcps...
