Unhappy Spottings....

Is it normal to have spottings for a week before having a real period ?

Is this part of PCOS ?

On Met(1500mg)

I am spotting for about 5 days now.First I thought i was ovulationg but opk came out neg and the temp dipped.

Are there any supplements that can help me with this problem?

Thanks

Hi trishala
Welcome! Sometimes I spot before AF, just usually a couple days. I haven't spotted as long as five days like you're describing. How long have you been on the met? It can take awhile for it to "straighten things out".

You may want to check out the Alternative remedies forum, they have lots of info on herbals/ supplements.

Glad you are here cyster
Hugs
Jenny

HI!

I ususally spot a couple of days before. That has changed as I've gotten older as my cycles have gotten lighter! Something to look forward to ---

I had this going on, and even spotting mid-cycle after bd and even excercise! My OB put me on Prometrium which has helped - it also lightened my AF and I am down to a 28-30day cycle now. It doesn't work for everyone, but it might be something to look into.

Default Thankyou ladies

Hey ladies

Sorry to be replying this late.My internet went out.

My periods just came up today after spotting for 5 days now.
So Im happy now that I can wait agin for a chance of ovulation

I have been on MET for 3 months (1500 mg)now and it has considerably reduced the length of my cycle.

So Im hoping I will ovulate soon.

Really glad to know that Im not alone in this.

Thanks again Jenny,Eva ,Susan and Tam

Glad your AF came. You sound very positive about your met, and that's great. Met was a lifesaver for me, it helped regulate my cycles and I did get pregnant on met alone. Hope this is encouraging to you.

Hugs cyster,
Jenny

Good for you cyster! My wedding ring ALMOST fits again. (I lost over 100 pounds in the year before I got pregnant, but put a lot of weight back on when I was pregnant, so I'm working on losing again!) When I was losing lots of weight I definitely found that I'd lose it from "weird" places like my feet, my boobs, my fingers etc. I've noticed the past week or so that I need a new bra so that's good news for me!

Hugs cyster

I think that everyone is soooo different when it comes to PCOS that nothing is cut and dried when it comes to symptoms.
It's enough to drive you nutty!! LOL!
Congrats on the weight loss.....that's great!!
