Just seen my doctor who has explained that all of my health problems may be down to this one syndrome which can't be cured only managed. Don't know whether to be relieved that I know what's probably wrong with me or devastated that there's something actually wrong! Glad I've found this site though, I've been referred to an endocrinologist and for an ultrasound, having checked this site I have many of the symptoms if not all making PCOS likely, but I've noticed that a lot of the members are mothers which gives me a lot of hope that I can beat this thing at least as far as having kids is concerned. Well done to all of you, you are all exceptional women!
Alliegirl - Just wanted to take a moment to welcome you to SC! I'm glad you found this site - I know that you will find answers to any and all questions that you may have while learning about PCOS - this site is a definite Godsend!
I look forward to getting to know you - See you around the board!!

I felt the same way when I was waiting to find out what was wrong with me. Once you know it does get easier. You start treatment and you find support (which you have plenty of here). If you do have PCOS my only advice is get as much info as you can about treatments and the syndrome itself. Then put your questions together and see your doctor. It's nice to get answers.
Have a great day.
