Question Started Met 3 days ago... little concerned

I'm quite confused and concerned at everthing that has happened the past few months. I am new to the wedbsite and have found alot of good recources on here. I was just recently diagnosed and looking for some answers and opinions from other ladies experiancing the same or similar.
My husband and I got engaged in Dec. 08, at which time I stopped taking my BC pills. Coming off the pill I bled continuously for 6 months now. I went to the Dr. last week and had BW run and an ultrasound. I was diagnosed with PCOS and my Dr. (just met, 1st visit actually) didn't fill me in on too much info. She put me on Met 500mg X2 daily. Since my husband and I trying to concieve I am concerned if this will be enough. The Dr. didn't offer any more info really.
I want to know if I'm on the right track... If this will help me to ovulate and concieve... Etc. etc. Most of the info I have gathered is from websites and such. Most info I have found includes the treatment combined with clomid.
If anyone could help calm my nerves, offer some advice or personal stories I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Default

I was on birthcontrol before I decided to ttc. I went on metformin 1000 mg a day. I went up to 1500 for a while, but it made me so miserable and sick, my doctor put me back on 1000 to see if I could adjust later. I was regular for six months, where before I never had periods on my own really. I lost 30 pounds on it, I was pregnant the sixth month. If you stay on a good diet and like others have said, don't eat the foods that aren't good for you, sugar, carbs, etc. You should be just fine. Good Luck!!!
