Default This started out so weird

Yesturday afternoon I noticed my neck was getting a little stiff. I had been catching up on my scrapbook so I thought maybe it was the way I was holding my head or something. By bedtime I had pain on the left side of my head that ran down my left arm and under my breast. It got pretty intence and then backed off a bit but I had a very hard time sleeping. I had been having pains in my gut but it was weird all of a sudden this also started up. I was worried because my son had surgery today and I thought since stress can do alot I thought maybe this was the problem. The pain stopped around 5 am and I was feeling half way decent when it all started up again. I am so stiff it actually hurts like crazy. Is this weird or what. Also I notice on accassion my left arm will have like a spasm and jump out of the blue. I seen a friend tonight and she asked if something was wrong. I asked why and she said the way my left side seemed to be sagging she thought something may have happened to me. I told her I what I was experiencing and she said she did not want to scare me but it could be a sign of a heart attack since im overweight or a stroke. She said things like MS can do this also. Have any of you experienced this type thing before. Am I worrying for nothing? Could it just be stress? I hate going in I swear are dr up here are rejects from the lower 48 and it is a 6 hour drive to nearest city and I cant afford to fly there.

If this happens again I hope you'll call 911. Your health is the most important thing in the world. I'm no doctor but to me it sounds like a stroke. I hope I'm wrong.

It really sounds like a stroke to me, or a precurser for a stroke. You need to see your Dr Soon as you can. I don't want to scare you but out bodies are amazeing things and when something is about to go wrong they usually send us warning signs. I hope your ok.

Same thought here, sounds like a mini-stroke to me...not complete loss of function, just sagging...i would see a doctor immediately if it isn't better yet.

I went in and seen a dr. He thinks I may have a pinched nerve in my neck that is causing everything along with the stress I have had over the past few months. He will be keeping a close eye on me and if it starts up again I am to immediately go to the ER. Thanks gals for your help.
