I have had a lot of health trouble for almost 3 years now. I am now diagnosed with PCOS (SUmmer 2008). I am to the point of helplessness. I am literally so miserable and so down and out. I heard about insulite read what some of the other girls have been saying about it...and I am going to try it.
I ordered it today so I will hopefully get it tuesday. I will update with how I am doing. I already exercise with a personal trainer 3 days a week so I guess I will incorporate everything else.
I will keep you updated if you considering trying insulite.
Anyone that is currently taking insulite or has in the past, please let me know how you are doing, currently.
I have been using Insulite for almost three years. It has made a tremendous difference in my life. I have been able to control my blood sugar without Metformin. My hormone levels are more balanced and I actually became pregnant (BIG SURPRISE) after conceiving two boys with Clomid. I am expecting in three weeks and after I finish nursing will go back on Insulite. It is important however, that you continue to exercise and eat a healthy low-glycemic diet or you will not reap all the benefits of Insulite.
Congrats on starting Insulite! And GREAT job on working out! I highly recommend a personal trainer to anyone who can afford one.
I was seeing a personal trainer twice a week, in addition to working out twice a day. I was also on a low-gi, whole foods diet.
All of that was really helpful, but Insulite was what really pushed me over the edge. I was off of metformin within just a couple days, and felt AMAZING!
My DH and I weren't actively trying to conceive, but we weren't preventing, either. However, after one month of Insulite, I got pregnant. I won't necessarily credit it all to the insulite - eating healthy and exercising are both far more important, but I think it's the combination of all those things that helped.
If you're currently sexually active and NOT interested in getting pregnant, I would suggest making sure you take measures to prevent conception once you start this program. I've heard LOTS of stories of cysters getting BFP's shortly after starting.
GOOD LUCK!

I am in my first week of taking insulite, the amount of pills doesn't really bother me. But it is quite a few. The pills don't seem to bother me in any way, and over all I feel like I have more energy than I did pre-insulite. I am trying to do the Low GI diet, but I LOVE carbs so I am trying to ween off of them.
The eating plan that the insulite labs sends with the pills is about weening off of carbs, so it's best to just count your carb intake and slowly lower the amount of carbs you eat over time.
The dieting part will be the most difficult of the program. I will keep everyone updated on my insulite trials, for those of you that are interested in trying it, stay tuned.
Yes, I just saw this post too and would like to know how it is going! I have been so miserable and reluctant to go back to BCP's, I was miserable with them as well. I want to feel better and have looked longingly at this insulite stuff, but haven't been bold enough to try it out.

I started yesterday after much deliberation - as I'm in the UK, Insulite is really expensive with shipping and customs but I have tried doing it on my own and with no success and Metformin worked but I had terrible side effects and after two years decided to stop it.
I'm happy to post an update as I go but it would be great to hear how anyone else is getting on.
