Well ladies it's that time! I went to my doctor today and I got my prescription for Met! I am going to start it tomorrow so I can get on a schedule with it. I will be taking 500mg twice a day along with 50mg of synthroid for my underactive thyroid. I have been spotting the past couple weeks so I think with a push from the Met I will get AF. I had more blood work done today and doc will be calling me for more after these tests come back. I will be on the Met for 3 months. If I don't get AF my doctor said she would like to have me come back for a shot of Provera but i'm hoping I wont have to. I am nervous, scared and excited all at the same time, I thought today would NEVER come! I hope you all are doing well and feeling fine! You're all in my prayers. Much love to all my cysters!
I am starting tomorrow too and I am currently on 50mg of synthroid already so I guess we are on the same boat. They put me on eventually 1500 mg of metformin but I will have to get there slownly.
I do get my periods but a bit late - My progesterone is very low. My testosterone a tad elevated and I have the thyroid issue too. Apparently I have a mild case of PCOS if there is such a thing and in the last year I have packed 30 lbs that did not belong to me

Wow seems we are in the same boat! Are you also TTC? I am and I hope this will be the ticket! If not I guess i'll be on my way to clomid but at this point i'd try anything if I thought it would work! Best of luck to you cyster and let me know how you do on your first day of Met!
Good luck with your MET!
After just 10 days I got a +opk!
I would advise you to start on 500mg for a few days and gradually build your dose up!

Well I just took it - I am here waiting for the earth to start moving right under my feet
I am not really TTC right now but we want to start TTC later on next year. I have a 3 yr old at home - had prolactin issues when I was TTC him. Looking back I think I have had PCOS all along except for after my son was born when for a while I was totally regulated and with periods 30 days apart like clockwork. Go figure! Right now I do ovulate just late and with a poor poor progesterone reading after I do so. I am really hoping Met will regulate me and I will be able to do it on my own but yeah if that doesnt do it clomid here I come whenever I am ready. Hopefully we wont have to go to that.
How did met treat you the first day. I took it about a half an hour ago and I feel pretty normal and maybe full which is rare because lately I am always starving.
I started my met yesterday, I took it at 6am with a glass of milk and went to bed. I took it again at 6pm with dinner, a total of 1000mg. So far so good I haven't felt any different whatsoever. I also started my synthroid and felt fine on that too. I noticed a little spotting today so hopefully AF isn't far behind! I am glad to hear you are feeling good on your Met also! That's great news. I was very nervous for my first dose that's why I took it and went to bed lol I didn't wanna know if anything weird was happening but after my evening dose and still feeling fine I am not worried now. I hope you continue to feel great with no side effects from the Met! Keep me posted cyster, you're all in my prayers.
i didnt get side effects until 4 days later.. so just take your time with the dose

I had to laugh because I am doing the same thing. I just took my first pill about an hour ago. I'm just sitting here waiting for something to happen. So far, so good.

Hey ladies! Wanted to give an update on my Met. Today is my 4th day on it and the first 2 days I had no side effects but as of last night I noticed a couple. First of all the loose bowels started, not too bad but enough to make ya feel icky! Secondly I am spotting a little heavier each day but nothing that registers on a pad yet! I felt like my sugar had dropped low last night cause I started to feel quite weird and dizzy but after eating some oatmeal and drinking a can of pop it subsided. Other than that it's going good. DH and I have BD once so far, gonna do that as often as possible but DH is a truck driver so we will BD every chance we get! Here's hoping and crossing my fingers! I'd love to hear how you're all doing on the met so keep me posted! Lot's of luck and babydust to you all!
