Starting Metformin tomorrow and it's my first day of my period.

Hi there!

I'm new here so please bare with me if someone had allready asked, BUT

I am starting Metformin tomorrow and according to my BC- my period should be starting too..

Is this a bad idea?? I had to wait to get to the placebo pills in my BC pack before starting. I typically have pretty nasty periods (When I get them) so will the intorduction of Merformin be too much?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

The onoly thing I would be wary of is if you have stomach troubles be aware you may not be protected contraceptionwise.
