Well, just did my transfer for my 2nd IVF and basically had terrible embryo quality and the chances of success are slim.

We were going to do one more IVF but after doing this one and realizing our chances could be worse next time we decided to use the money towards adoption.

I'm kind of scared of all the unknowns and of course, I don't have any friends who have adopted so I feel very alone. I do feel somewhat relieved to know I'm not going to go through any more infertility treatments. And I'm trying to tell myself that I didn't want to be pregnant anyways, cause it would make me gain more weight. HA!

Anyways, I would love advice on books to read, websites to visit, and most importantly, there seems to be a lot of hard things that I know I will go through - explaining to other about adoption, waiting and hoping, etc. So any advice on that as well would be great.

Ange - We have recently started looking into adoption. Today I ordered a book from Amazon - "The Russian Adoption Handbook: How to Adopt from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Moldova". It seems to have lots of useful information. I'll let you know after I receive it. Good luck to you! What agency are you considering? Another question ladies - what agencies are you using if you're adopting internationally? I've read some not-so-good things about Aurora International Adoption, so we're looking elsewhere.

You might also want to deal with your grief about not being able to conceive first. Just so you dont regret your decision to adopt.
