Does anyone plan to stay on Avandia? FDA approved it to stay on the market as far as I have been told. I was on Avandia before pregnancy and really want to go back on it. I was on insulin during pregnancy and started on Byetta now. Avandia worked great for me!

Just curious on how many are going to stay on it?

I am taking Avanamet and have very regular cycles. Just taking Gluc or Met alone does not give me reg. cycles. During my last OB appt. she told me that she does not see enough evidence to stop taking the meds as long as the benefits are outweighing the risks.

I went off it b/c of fluid retention. Other than that it was wonderful. I'm waiting to be put on another medication, since I can definitely tell a difference since being off the med.

I saw my endocrinologist today... he saw no reason to take me off of avandia. I take avandamet 1000/4 2x daily...he says there isn't enough evidence that is causes heart problems. He said if I had a heart problem to begin with, he would take me off of it.
