Stop I am not even sure if:
1. If should be posting there here?
2. If what I did was right?
There is was a thread I started named "What's your name? I want to write your name." After about 25-30 posts I saw it turn nasty to other members. I thanked everyone for writting about the post. The I posted a STOP message. I did not want anyone to seem hurt or have it get to nasty.
I am sorry if this was wrong. I just wanted to make sure by me doing this I didn't violate any rules. I am Moderator/Owner of another website (freecycle.org) this tends to be what I would do if I see a problem.
Thank you.
Kathy

You can PM a mod to close a thread if you feel a thread you started is going downhill quickly or you can delete the thread yourself if you started it. I have found the second option works best.

I don't think 'stop' messages, like the one you posted, will go over well here.
Plus, the thread didn't seem nasty to me.
Jash is correct...if you want a thread closed, contact a mod for that forum. If you want the thread to go away, delete it yourself.

You can close it yourself, too, if you started it.

Really? How? I'm always pestering TracyW2 to close old game threads that I've started on the GTKY forum. If I could close them myself, I wouldn't have to bother her.

Hey I just figured it out!
Go to the first page of the thread.
Click on "Thead Tools" which appears just above the first post.
Click on close or delete thread option.
I never knew about this. Neat.
