Default Stopped all meds! Fo-ti, Hyponidd and Vitex

So, I've been on Yasmin, Spiro, and Met for the past ten years. I've never really seen positive results, and I got to the point where I was tired of putting all these drugs in my body-- and I really started to feel like they were doing more harm than good.

I saw my doctor last week, and I told her I wanted to stop taking everything, and try a natural regimen. She said that it was completely fine with her-- so, I'm on my way!

I started taking Vitex for ovulation, and an herbal blend for hair which has Fo-ti in it. Also, my Hyponidd order is on the way.

I'm a little scared because I've never been off meds before, and I don't know what to expect.

Does anyone have a similar experience? I would love to hear about it... might be comforting! I will update on how things go!

I went off diane 35 and spiro in november, immediately got pg and lost it. So I started vitex, red raspberry leaf and ground flax seed. And lunarception too. I started getting more regular cycles (from 50 days down to 28 or 30) and I got pg in August! I probably couldve sooner but I wanted to make sure all the meds were out of my system. So anyway, now I am 11 weeks along and all is well. Good luck!

Fruitsy- Congrats on your pregnancy. Normally, did you ovulate on your own while off the medications? 'coz in my case, I ovulate (I think I do) first 2 or 3 cycles after quiting the BCP, then my cycles go crazy and stop having AF. I am mildly obese (I don't know if that's a correct term), I have some hair on my chin and lower abdomen, irregular menses. I'm now TTC and don't know if I should use only vitex or vitex and some natural metformin substitute or something like 2000 mg cinnamon only.

Fruitsy-- congratulations on your pregnancy! Best of luck!

Rusalka-- I am also very irregular, and don't ovulate normally. I am currently taking Vitex and Hyponidd to help regulate. This coming cycle will be my first without meds, so fingers crossed that I will get AF.

An update-- so far so good while being off all my meds. I just started Hyponidd this week. I will update as to whether or not I get AF regularly with help of Hyponidd and Vitex.

I dont know if I Od regularly, its hard to say. But I did do a little charting and some months I am pretty sure I didnt. For example, I obviously did In jan (my first cycle off birth control), but did not in feb or march. Then I stopped charting. I started charting again in July and had a 30 day cycle with ovulation. Then I clearly O`d in August right on CD 14 (yay). In my case I think the herbs clearly helped!

Just wanted to give an update! It's been one month since I stopped BCP, Metformin, and Aldactone.

It's been almost 10 years since I've gotten AF naturally, without being on BCP. Before that, I would get AF about every three months.

I'm happy to report that after one month of Hyponidd and Vitex, I got AF on a 28 day cycle!

It works, it works!
