Default Stopped Spiro - still getting AF every 2 weeks

After 3 months on Met and 6 weeks of taking Spiro, AF showed up two weeks early. A week after I had the early period, my family doctor stopped the Spiro because I was having BP problems, but I had another period in two weeks even off the Spiro. Yesterday, 3 weeks after stopping Spiro, and two weeks after my last period again, I had what can only be described as spotting, but felt like AF was coming (sore breasts, crampy feeling), but other than the spotting, AF hasn't shown up. I've always been as regular as clockwork, so this is making me crazy. On the other hand, I have very mild cramps with these bi-weekly AFs, instead of major wall-climbing cramps I had with normal AF.

Has anybody else stopped Spiro because of getting AF too often? If so, how long before AF gets back to normal.

I have a 6 month appt with my gyn early in May, so I'll tell her about all this when I go.
