I am having a CT scan tomorrow for a lump on my neck that has been there for over a year. My family history has Hodgkins/non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

My question is: I have to stop met for 2 days before and 2 days after the CT scan. I started clomid cd5.

Do you think not using the met for 5 days will affect the chances of conception?

Good luck with the scan. I'm scared of cancer, and it's not prevelent in my family, so all I can say is I've got everything crossed for you.

If you want to avoid insulin spikes that could result from being without our good buddy Met, just go really low carb, like Atkins Induction, for those couple of days. You should be fine, but as with anything else, some of us will react differently.

No advice for you on the met/clomid question...but wanted to wish you the best with your upcoming CT scan. I hope it shows everything is just fine. Just said a little prayer for you and will be thinking of you.

Thanks Sheri for the info. I really am going to have to watch my carbs for the next few days. Apparently the HMO Dr. did not have the right information and misinformed me of my glucophage.

According to the CT scan tech, I was not supposed to stop it until today and then in 48 hours I am to have a BUN, Creatinine lab test to check out my kidney function. After she gets the results to the labs then she can tell me when I can restart my glucophage.

I called up the doctors office today and they said, fine, we will write you an order. I asked her to call it in because I was able to go across town to pick it up and she grumbled and said "I will try." Hopefully she will do it because I will have them call the doctor on call to get the orders if not.

Thanks Lissa for your prayers and supports. I really do need it right now because I really have not told my family how nervous this has made me feel.
