Default Stopping Spironolactone

I have been on Spironolactone (Aldactone) for over two years. I think that the Metformin alone would keep my Testosterone low. It was 119 and is now 20. I see my Endocrinologist next month. I'm just wondering if anyone else has stopped Spironolactone and what were the effects-if any. I just feel like I take too many pills and supplements a day. If the Spironolactone is not neccessary I'd rather not take it. Thanks.

I took spiro for about a year when i was first d/x. I stopped taking it. I took it for the hair growth as well testoterone and mine was never tested again that i know of. But my hair growth has slowed down since losing weight. I shave what little i get on my chin still because its just so much easier to do that after brushing my teeth. I think you should be ok. Give it a try and have a blood test done in a few months to check and see if its going up again. Good Luck
