Default Stopping too soon?

i've noticed that in a lot of the posts on this board that ladies who are trying various herbal routes often say they try the remedy for usually one cycle or maybe two and then quit when they don't see the results they are after.

I'm not trying to criticize anyone but ladies please don't forget that often(in most cases) that natural herbal remedies can take quite a long time to level out hormonal issues. One or two cycles simply isn't enough time to get a fair determination of whether something is helping or not.

I realize that we live in a world where medications usually have an instantaeous effect on our bodies and i think we have mistakenly assumed that herbal and natural therapies will also have the timing of manufactured drugs. Unfortuneatly, this just doesn't happen.

To give a herbal or natural therapy a fair shot, it is not unusual to use it for at least 3 months or even quite a bit longer before anyone can say it definitely is or is not helping them. Patience is definitely a virtue when undergoing herbal or natural therapy.

Many have concluded that some of these therapies are useless in their situation when in reality they may not have given the therapy the enough time to show what it can do for them...

Maybe you could reconsider a therapy that may have worked for you and give it a good 3-6 month trial...then you could know once and for all if something is or isn't working. That would also eliminate the uncertainty and guesswork of wondering why something appears not to be working when others have had success with it. With PCOS, a long term view is probably the most encouraging way to cope, we will have the syndrome forever, a few months of experimentation could possibly lead to control of symptoms and maybe even to the path of motherhood that so many desire.

Please, please ladies just do not give up too soon! I've personally struggled with a lot of the same issues you are facing and i'm learing that patience with these natural therapies sometimes yields astonishing results....

Lots of Huggs to everyone here!
