Two times this year I had this strange discharge. I've never heard of anything like it and just wanted to see if anybody else has experienced anything like it. It was prior to seeing my new doc and his tentative dx of PCOS and all the Clomid rounds and things.
It was not bloody, it would have been about mid-cycle so no where near AF, but I wasn't tracking anything so I can't narrow down if the two occurrences were at the same time of my cycle. There was no discomfort or physical signs that there was anything unusual.
The discharge was a blob of gel looking stuff...it was about the size of a golf ball (that may be exagerating a bit....but it was a lot) and it was the consistency of hair gel. It was not clear but had no color of any kind to it, and no noticeable odor.
It never happened before and it hasn't happened since, the two incidents were months apart....one in spring one in summer. I didn't really worry about it at the time but I got to thinking about it earlier and just wondered if anyone else has had something like that happen?
That's pretty much what I wrote it off to at the time. Since there was no bad odor or anything to indicate infection I just figured it was like CM gone wild or something....
"CM gone wild" just brought me to tears I'm laughing so hard...
That's exactly what it looked like when I lost my mucus plug before giving birth. But, since that's obviously not your situation, I'd agree with EWCM... GONE WILD! Hahahahah...

I have had a similar discharge a couple of times before. It is usually the day or so after sex. My dr told me that it was a combination of sperm and cervical mucus (which is made much thicker by many fertility meds). He said that cervical mucus will sometimes act weird like that with PCOS since you might be producing several immature eggs that just don't develop fully. In turn, you have more cervical mucus that usual (especially when you would ovulate, if you did). Or at least, that is what I understood him to say. He said it was harmless, but not very conducive to ttc. You might want to ask your dr about it though since it could be something else.
Not totally random, I don't think I've ever had golf ball size stuff, but I just write the weird stuff off as va-jay-jay snot! LOL!

I've had this occur for a couple years now, and I always put it down to sinus problems (lots and LOTS of drainage for no apparent reason for about 24 months or so) -- never heard of EWCM until now. The gyno never gave me any info about it...now I wonder...
haha!! We have a lot of weird things going on in our bodies I know. I get the too mid-cycle. But this time I bled for many days, it suddenly stopped and now im swimming in it. I have never had so much in my life! It went from totally dry to this. Gotta love the hormones
I have had the same problem on several differnt occasions and it did come out like a big blob of gel . when It first happened. I said to myself what the heck is this.
