Question Strange symptoms, treatment questions

I am not getting any treatment for my PCOS currently except for acupuncture (which sort of regulates my period and is good for stress). BCPs in the past have given me panic attacks.

I am tempted but hesitant to try a treatment such as cinnamon or glucophage, but my blood sugar levels appear normal (on fasting blood tests), so I am wondering, could I still benefit from these? Do I need a medication for blood sugar even though it "appears" normal?

By appears I also want to mention that I have been able to lose weight in the past through excercise, but always after vigorous excercise I have very strange symptoms. extreme weakness and dizzyness, feels like a low blood sugar episode. Why????

You could still benefit from treatment. My levels are in the "normal" range, but have consistently gone up over the past few years. You really need to talk to a doctor who understands PCOS and can explain how it affects blood sugar.

What type of doctor? I've had trouble finding a good doctor, been to Gyno and internist.

those symptoms you get after exercising seem to sound like blood pressure issues to me! going to see a good RE for pco is the best i think! unless your gyno is really good, keeping a healthy diet, and routine exrecise is the best thing to do for early diabetic issues!!! thats what im doing under doctor advice......not always easy but i do what i can!! goood luck!

Default about doctors...

Try an endocrinologist. I use a fertility doc that specializes in PCOS and is an endocrinologist.
