Here's the deal: the past couple of months I have started noticing these fine white hairs on my body. I found one on my arm that was a good three inches long and another on my forehead (ack!!!) that was at least an inch and a half. My DH found one on my back and then last night I found one between my breasts!!! I feel like such a freak! I have also noticed some white in my eyebrows (regular eyebrow hair, not long and fine like the others I just mentioned). This is not just light hair, it is WHITE and I have dark brown hair. I am constantly checking the hair on my head, but so far I haven't found any white there. Anybody know what's going on? Am I just a freak?

I have the white ones in my eyebrows and also my chin (where I have had elctrolysis). They are plain old hairs that have no pigmentation (albinos!). As for the long ones elsewhere- I would guess they are just a rogue follicol and nothing to worry much about.
Just my thoughts

Thanks, oohmercyme. I suppose you are right... I just wonder why they are showing up all of a sudden, when I never had any before. Weird! Anyway, thanks for the reply!

Oh, yes...I have found one on my shoulder and under my eye in the undereye circle area...very strange--I didn't know hair could grow there on ANYONE, but I guess with PCOS, anthing is possible!

I have a few that keep growing, that I have to catch in a certain light to pluck out! One on my cheek, and I have one that actually grows as an eyelash!! Every few months, I have to pluck one of my eyelashes. Very weird. Oh well!

Thanks for replying! I guess it could be another PCOS related symptom. Like I need anything else to be wrong with me!!! lol And I apologize, since I know they are unpleasant, but I feel a little better knowing that I am not the only one!
