Unhappy stressed out and confused....long

hi ladies! i was diagnosed last year and put on Yasmin. yasmin did good things for me. my acne improved, i lost weight, and my testosterone level came back into the normal range. last week i saw my gyn and asked to be taken off of it. i get HORRIBLE headaches on it and i just couldn't take it anymore. i actually sat in her office and cried (and then felt very stupid for crying) because i am so miserable on it, but i had really wanted to stay on it, since it is suposed to be one of the best for pcos, but it is too hard on me. if i am late more than 1 hour taking the yasmin, i would get a headache that would last for days. we talked about yaz, but she thinks i will have the same problem. so she put me back on microgestin which i had been on for years before i was diagnosed. i dont know if this is a good idea or not. i liked the microgestin but it stopped giving me a period. and i mentioned this to the dr and she said it is fine to go without one.

i am really worried about the testosterone level, wont it go back up since it is not formulated with an anti androgen like yasmin? she didnt think it would be a problem, but i am not so sure.

is it really ok to go months without a period? before i was diagnosed and was on the microgestin, i hadnt had a period in 10 months.

I think ideally, you should have at least 3 to 4 periods a year.

yikes...getting a migraine if you are an hour late with your pill?! that's no way to live. I don't know the hormone level in yasmin, but if it's giving you nasty headaches, you may need to find a BCP that's low hormone. when my dr and I were trying to find the right one for me, it took trying several different BCPs to find one that was the best "fit" for me.
