Since January + taking herbals, was starting to get a super light period, 3 days or so (tmi, once some large clots). (Before January, no AF.)
Now this past cycle, the strangest, I guess more of a slower and prolonged AF, about 20 days.
Hope everyone is well!

Hope everyone is well! | Solange, you might want to try this - this is how I 'trained' my cycles: I used false unicorn & maca; starting cd3 (false unicorn) and cd5 (maca). Often times AF drags on because your body isn't getting it's estrogen up. False unicorn/maca are endocrine tonics. False unicorn also is a Qi tonic - Qi in chinese medicine holds blood within the vessels. You just use it a week or so till AF is gone. A bottle of tincture will last a year or more. The false unicorn will lighten AF if it is too heavy too. Continue the maca till you O. Maca will increase your estrogen, but in an indirect way. It can also increase Progesterone after O. I restart it 3dpo.

I bought from somewhere else, but it does take about 10 days - 3 weeks. I looked at the website & ayurvedaforall.com is in India, so that sounds about right. No companies are selling it in the U.S. So it pretty much ships directly from India, whether you buy it from a UK company or a company from India. It helps to buy in bulk and to buy ahead of time before you run out.

Hollyree,
I ordered mine from there and haven't got mine yet. I know the amount posted to my account on 6/2 but my DH said it takes 15-21 days. Not sure if they are regular days or Business days. I will update back when I get mine. I would like to start taking it soon!

I work in a lab and I'm the only lab tech there at night so I don't want to have any ill effects and not be able to do anything about it! I will let you know when I start and how I am doing!

Hi Laides!
I just wanted to update...As you know, I did get pg. yet again from Hyponidd. But, was diagnosed last week at 10wks. with a blighted ovum. So, our dr. said to wait two cycles before getting pg. again. She said that due to the pcos my cycles may not return as normal (as we all know what pcos does to us). But, with the Hyponidd and Vitex my cycles were like clockwork. So, I'm hoping that they'll start right back up again. My dr. is going to do some research on the Hyponidd. She was intrigued that it helps me better than Gluc., or Avandia.
So, now we just hope that my cycles return to normal so that we can try again to have another baby.
Hope everyone is doing great on their Hyponidd!!!

Points: 279.56 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 279.56 | Hello, Everyone!
I am new to the site--haven't even set up my profile yet--and just read this entire thread...whew! But wonderful info and you guys are so kind to share your knowledge and experiences...I'm so thankful I found this site! I self-diagnosed my PCOS in 2005, which was disguised for years by oral contraceptives and the fact that i was a natural body builder in great shape. But I went through a bad relationship, stopped working out and gained 40 lbs, and stopped taking OCs. I have no IR, but am anovulatory and a tendency toward amenorrhea (maybe 1-2 per year).
Well, I'm on Actos, Flutamide and Lasix (the Actos makes you retain water like crazy so lasix helps with that). I've been on this coctail for 1.5 months and I both ovulated and got a period 28 days after starting it. Hair loss and acne has also stopped an no neg side effects other than mild water retention. But no weight loss!!!...in fact I gained due to the water retention (My doc put me on Actos b/c I tried metformin and it made me extremely tired--couldn't function). I'd tried many herbal cocktails with only mild success (4 periods last year, which was an improvement to my one period the year before when I was not taking anything). I don't want to stay on this coctail due to possible negative effects on liver, kidneys and blood pressure (due to heart working harder to compensate for the retained water) AND b/c I need to lose 45 lbs. I've done TONS of research and am considering foregoing my current coctail and taking the hyponidd (with NAC, L carnitine, ALA, Saw Palmetto, Milk Thistle)...Yet, I'm scared to "mess with things" since I ovulated and started a period like clockwork with it. Also since hyponidd acts similar to Metformin and not Actos, I fear it will make me tired like the Metformin, or worse, mess up my blood sugar levels and cause me to become hypoglycemic! UUGGGHHH! Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! :-o |

Points: 464.42 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 464.42 | Tired Today marks the end of my 4th week on Hyponidd. It's hard for me to tell what things are the result of the Hyponidd and which are from getting such wonderful acupuncture treatments. Thus far, I've definitely been able to tell that the herbal helps with the sugar up and downs. If I take it properly and on time, I don't want to sleep afterwards.
I certainly also felt tired on Metformin XL, but then I was completely intolerant to the stuff. I couldn't sleep for throwing up.
I haven't had any adverse reactions to Hyponidd. I talked to my doctor about taking it and she had never heard of it. I brought her the article at the beginning of this thread and was very interested. She's done some research on D-chiro-insitol and was glad to see that it was a component in one of the ingredients.
So right now I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that this helps bring my testosterone levels down and my progesterone up. "Tired" of shaving my face doesn't really cover that level of frustration, does it? |
