I noticed you mentioned that your Dr. was pleased that the Hyponidd had some D Chiro Inositol in it. I was curious to know if you've ever tried the D Chiro Inositol, or if she has ever suggested that you use it. |

Just joined today but have ben reading the posts for the past month. Let me just give you some background. I am 25 years old and my DH is 28. I was diagnosed after much research on my own after not getting answers at the doctor. Finally I had some tests done and was diagnosed. I have AF regularly every month without BC. (was on ortho, but stopped due to headaches and TTC later this year), I have bad hirsutism on my face and my arm hair has darkened. I have also seen an increase in moles and spots as well.
I just got my 1st shipment of Hyponidd and am going to start it tomorrow morning. Has anyone found any time of the day is better? I was thinking before breakfast and before dinner.
Just a side note:
Was anyone on Depo-Provera prior to being diagnosed with PCOS? I never had any issues prior to being but on that BC. After stopping I didnt get AF back for 14 months, started getting panic attacks, depression and thats when everything started. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through the same.
Thanks,
all advice is welcome! |

When I told her I wanted to deal with my PCOS naturally, the first thing she told me was to eat lots of chick peas and legumes because they have high concentrations of d Chiro Inositol. My doctor was researching dCI with Dr. Nestler... At the time, she had found great successes with DCI among PCOS patients, but the drug manufacturer was looking to market it with diabetes patients... I think they pulled their funding. Anyway, now that it's available in pill form, I'm pretty sure she's an advocate.
That said, I haven't tried it yet. I'm hoping the Hyponidd takes care of things, but I'm open to trying it also.
Those of you that have tried taking both either together or in succession, have you noticed any difference in successes between two? Hyponidd vs. d chiro inositol??? |

Points: 423.73 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 423.73 | Wow- I finally finished the whole thread! I've been reading bits and pieces for some time and have started herbs in the last week. I haven't ordered hyponidd yet as dh is wary of me taking herbs without the help of a naturopath/dr of some sort- as you can see, I'm doing it anyway- haha. I've never been on Met, but 1 RE is pro & one is con (I just switched, but want to try natural first). I'll be 32 in 2 wks and am TTC, but am planning to take 3 mo to hopefully balance out my system and start cycling! I've never cycled on my own. So far I've been taking (for only 6 days):
Levothyroxine .05mg
Licorice Root 1000mg w/ 120mg Glycyrrhizin (12%) (tid)
Potassium Gluconate (595mg) (99mg K)
GTF Chromium (200mcg) (tid)
Saw Palmetto (160mg) (tid)
Vitamin B Complex + C
Vitamin D (2000 IU)
Calcium (600mg) (bid)
Flax Seed Oil (1000mg) (tid)
Prenatal
TCOYF software thinks I o'd 9 days ago (highly unlikely, but possible since I had a d&c May 23rd and maybe the pg jumpstarted something?) It looked like my body was trying with a few higher temps like I get when I o on Femara and I did have ewcm, but as we know, that can mean nothing w/ pcos. Anyway, I'm not positive, but I think the licorice has raised my temps and maybe stabilized them a little (causing the software to recognize a thermal shift which may or may not be something I did all by myself- maybe I should've waited to take it to see what my body would do, but I just figured it would go on forever like usual). It's only been a few days so I'll keep charting to see where things go- I'm pretty sure I felt some faint cramping this afternoon. I would be so happy to see AF! |

Welcome,
I too have never been on Met and just reading about it makes me not want to try it. I have been on the Hyponidd for 3 days now and although I'm sceptical to think that it had had an effect so early, I do think it has increased my body temp and I have some more energy!
I have always had pretty regular cycles, except after DEPO but am hoping to regulate other areas.
Keep on keepin on

I'm a newbie, so I'm not allowed to post links on this site yet, but you can do a search under "Biogetica PCOD Optimal-Kit"
FROM THE SITE: "Biogetica PCOD Optimal-Kit is special combination of unique remedies that work in synchrony, to bring about symptomatic relief from PCOD, and re-arrange the hormonal axis of the body.* The kit has a stimulating effect on the pituitary-hypothalamus-axis.* The products coax the ovaries to resume normal ovarian functions, by dissolving the cysts.* They restore the balance of the hyperactive glands.*"
I'm usually skeptical of anything that claims to "heal", but I noticed that it has Hyponidd in the kit.

I have been using it for a month, but have not menstruated regularly yet. It is expensive ($79 and up) for a months worth.
For homeopathic remedies should be used for 3 months to see if they are having any effect, so I wonder if it's the same for supplements and herbs.
I am using the Chromium Picolinate and have noticed that I have steady energy throughout the day since I've taken it.

I've been taking 2 capsules (1200mgs) a day, but i read that only 33% of the d-pinnitol is absorbed as D-Chiro Inositol, which means I should be taking 3600mgs. That would be so expensive. I think the Chiral Balance actually works out cheaper. |

I waited 18 months for AF to arrive after stopping my last Depo injection. It was about a year after that I found out I had PCOS

Jessica | Thanks Jessaka- good luck on the hyponidd. I know this is a thread about taking that so I may move to another thread simply b/c I don't know that I'll need to try the hyponidd. At least, I hope I won't as I've been taking the other herbs I listed and AF came today! I can't believe it- I bet it's been since high school since I had my own period w/out drugs or withdrawal bleed. I actually think I o'd this time- amazing. Now I just have to try and recreate it this next cycle. Good luck to all you girls! |

How did you use your NPC? Did you take it for the listed number of days and then stop to get af? I see that you haven't needed it the last couple cycles so do you think you're off and running on your own or had you always cycled on your own in the past? (Sorry, you may have answered these q's on here before, but I can't remember...) Thanks! |
