Default Stupid docs

So i was officialy diagnosed with pcos 2 years ago, at almost 24 and have been on the pill and ten pill of 50g of androcur a month.
It turns out my cholesterol is now up.
I went to my family doc this morning..which is not really a fmaily doc ..to ask her to prescribe me another blood sample to know wheter this is good or bad cholesterol, this was asked by my endocrinologist i could not meet right now.

The the family doc told me i had to stop my treatment that it was too dangerous and that prolly i dont have pcos anymore , and that this was not a permanent condition, it was only something that happens after puberty....WHAT THE ****, this made me so angry...and i freak out that having a bit oo much cholesterol will be a reason enough for my endocrino to put me off the pill now....when i just begin to benefit from the effect...
then i tell the family doc i still have AN even so it is almost invisible and that if i stop everything will come back and that i developped most of my symptoms at 24 and not at 13 when i first had my perios, that my sister has just been diagnosed and is 33 and trying to have a baby , she is waiting for her 4th IVF..she has never been treated for pcos because she lacked so far the external symptoms...
when i tell htat stupid doc my symptoms are hairloss, lots of hair everywhere, AN that give me black toenails and horrible dark patches all over my breast, acne , sleepiness all the time, and faint because of a weird glycemie she tells me all that cannot be linked to pcos that it is in my head, heavy period that caused me aenemia....

it makes me so angry...i cannot go back to all those symtoms even without the dermatological symptoms, i am simply unable to focus and work with treatment...

i feel like s**t now
and she was so mean and assertive telling me this...i know my endocrino prolly will speak differently to me..but i am sorry i cannot go back to life without the pill

Sounds like maybe you need to see another doctor, one with a little bit more knowledge of PCOS. (Only during puberty?!? Not permanent?!?! Where did they get that info?)

As for your cholesterol, try taking flax seed oil. I brought mine down 40 points, without changing anything else(no change in diet, no stopping of scripts). Good luck, hope your endo treats you better than this doc did.

Yeah.. thank you for the support...I just go that doc for the blood test sample prescription....
I called my endocrinologist this afternoon (i am in france) and she said she was fed up with all 'those generalist docs who talk about things they are not specialist of'...so apparently the pill is responsible for the cholesterol being up, I will prolly have to switch to another one or maybe a patch like Evra, and i will stick to the cyprosterone acetate...let's see if switching pilldo the trick.....

how frustrating! it sounds like your primary md doesn't know her butt from a hole in the ground. i'd find a new care provider.

i hope that your endo can help you to find some relief.
