Hello, I just start Vitex at 1200mg on March 18th, I have been charting 32 days.... no AF yet... but sore bb's.... if I was PG it was from this weekend... and I don't think you'd feel sore bb's that fast... maybe AF is on her way..

Hello Ladies. I have a question. If you don't mind I would like to tell you all about my ttc disappointment. I did 3 round of clomid and met (1500mg), the last cycle with a steriod which did not work. So yet again I'm at my wits end. I have started taking progesterone cream in order to get my cycle. The question is, how does this vitex and cinnamon thing work and has anyone conceived or ovulated while taking it? I wish you ladies the best and lots of baby dut!!!
Some Cysters have conceived on Vitex ( not me personally yet but it has helped somewhat restore my cycles. i still use NPC most of the time but I get AF on Vitex where as before I never did.
Vitex is a hormone regulator and it is suppose to help with fertility overall, So i strongly recommend it if you are TTC. Cinnamon Im not sure, some Cysters have restored cycles also with Cinnamon which could lead to conceiving. Hope this helps

Although I find after a few months i need to take a break for it to kick back in..Do you have to do that too?
i was thinking about stopping vitex for a month or so to see if i can have a cycle without it.
Has anyone else tried this?
Now i need to lose some weight, thats the hard bit, think i will sew my mouth shut. lol

Sandki - I have taken breaks not specifically to see if I would get AF on my own but just to give my body a break when i felt Vitex wasnt working like it use to. So you can give it a try in my opinion, I feel brand new when i take my breaks but i usually dont take a break until like 6 months.

I read this thread (and the previous one) for informational purposes, as I am taking Vitex and Cinnamon. However, I am not TTC.
If the majority would like to move it to the TTC forum, I understand though, especially since I only read and don't post so I don't really qualify as a decision-maker in that respect.

Dont say that! all opinions matter thats why i figured i would ask. Just trying to think if it would be more helpful there and even if it did move i dont think we will discriminate again those who are not TTC.

marking. I'm a vitex girl, but nothing else. I just started it April 1st but I've already had cramping and my cm is more defined if you will. Its easier to read where as before it was just the same all the time.. I'm hoping to TTC #1 with vitex.

I think that you can take it up to 18 months but have to give your body a break after that. Usually 3-6 months is like prime working time for vitex when it really starts to kick in and help. Are you getting immediate results with the vitex and just having a really good response early?
Well, I just upped Vitex to 1200mg on March 18th, and I O'd April 11th, the first time in a 1 1/2 yrs, and in my 2WW.... So I think at 1200mg it is working quickly.

you are probably right but usually after 6 months is when i start to feel like Vitex isnt working for me. I think for me Vitex started working only after about 1 month which i think for most is unusual but i will try holding out longer because that does make sense thanks!
