Its been two weeks since I started my supplements and vitamins and I think they are working! The week I started the inositol and the rest of the supplements/vitamins I started feeling better. I used to have to deal with facial hair as well as on my legs and arms every day, now I have only shaved every other day. In the past week I have noticed my hair getting shinier, thicker and have had less shedding.
The best and probably most exciting part is that I have had my first NATURAL period in six months!!! I have still had the bleeding occasionally in between, but today I had really bad cramps and started bleeding! I am going to chart it this time to see what happens, but I am sure things are starting to work out for me! I am so happy!

I too have just started a natural approach - went off Metformin the first day of my new cycle and added in lots of supplements. Eliminated all processed foods and started keeping a food and excercise journal. It will be a week tomorrow and I do feel more energetic and less foggy. I would like to know what made you choose such a high dose of Inositol, though. Is there some reference you can point me too? Thanks!
I am a firm believer in the natural approach as well. I have been on my natural supplements for a couple of months now and along with Low GI diet and daily exercise, I also got AF on my own for the first time in almost a year. I also rarely ovulate even on Clomid and Femara but I have been temping and ovulated with soy this month! I am currently on CD19! Huge success for me.
I hope things continue to go so well for you. KUP!

I chose the high dose because I am not taking DCI. I take a tsp three times a day and that ends up being just under 4500 mg. I am also well overweight, close to 200lbs so I need more than someone who is only say 150.

Just have to put in a plug for two more things that really helped me: carob powder and N-A-C tablets. I found out about the carob on this website, so do some clicking around if you want more information about it... there was an INCREDIBLE medical study done 10-ish years ago on it... it's awesome for cysters!
I found out about the N-A-C through Randine Lewis' book, which I can't rave enough about. There's no way I would have conceived without it... the supplement or the book.
Congrats, and good luck for the next steps in your journey!
Congratulations! What an achievement! Isn't it great to see how our bodies really do want to be healed? And how they CAN when we just feed them the right stuff?!?
Just wanted to put a plug in for two supplements that changed my world. The first is so simple and easy -- carob powder! I put a banana in the blender with a bit of all-natural peanut butter and some carob powder. Very tasty and naturally sweet... and soooo good for us cysters! If you want more info on carob, I know there's some elsewhere on this website. It's amazing what that stuff can do!
Also, I had great success with N-A-C, which is also highly recommended for us PCOS-ers. I read about it in Randine Lewis' book, and was shocked by how big of a difference it's made in my world. I also took Standard Process' pill called Cataplex GTF. Both of these are to help with your body's sugar processing, and I couldn't have gotten my BFP without them!

mickelle: i'd be interested in the link for the carob powder. could you post it here? how much of it do you take a day? also, what is the name of the randine lewis book?
many thanks!
Congratulations!!! That is great news! I am hoping to start taking supplements soon and I hope I have as good of luck with them as you have!!! Thanks for sharing and giving me hope!
I also just started taking supplements about 2-3 weeks ago.....I couldn't handle the s/e of met and after a year stopped taking them and did some research on what i could take naturally..... AF was prometrium induced this cycle...the dr has me cycling through prometrium once a month to help regulate my cycle....but AF was only about 4 days long and i had virtually no pain, some mild cramps that came and went but compared to my last af which was 40 days long and i had a constant dull ache the whole time this af was a piece of cake and i am contributing that to the supplements i am taking......NOw the real test for my supplements will be if i O this cycle which i haven't done in over a year and a half.
oh...i have also started losing weight...i have lost about 5lbs in the last 2 weeks without additional changes in activities and diet and my weight before hasn't budged......now i have cut out most carbs and lost another 1lb in the last 2 days.
Awesome ! I'm going to add some of the ones you mentioned to my cocktail. I'm also adding maca. I'll tell you ladies how its going. I'm supposed to be getting it this week. That inositol sounds promising. Goodluck !!!
Congrats, It's interesting all the natural supplements that you are taken.
Last week I bought a tea called "fertility tea", with vitex, raspberry, green tea, mantle and nettle. Please if someone have a experience with this, I'm looking more information. thanks
