Default Suddenly a morning person

I've been on a tiny dose of Synthroid for a month now. About 2 weeks ago I started waking up at 6:30 every morning, about 30 min prior to my alarm going off. For as long as I can remember in my adulthood I have never been a morning person. I usually hit snooze about 4-5 times before I drag my butt out of bed and then I am groggy for a few hours. Now, when I wake up it is sudden, and my eyes just pop open, "time to get up". I don't really notice much of an energy boost in general, but this waking up thing is kind of nice... in a way... It is also strange because in the winter I usually have an epecially difficult time getting up before dawn, and it is no longer a problem.

Anyone else experience this?

yep...at first like you after about a month but this affect has worn away a wee bit. It is still easier then it used to be to get up but not quite the snap awake it was.

I hear ya. I'm taking GTA (dessicated thyroid, T3 only) and despite predictions that it would take a month, I started feeling a whole lot snappier pretty fast. The last two days I've awakened at around 7 (it's the weekend-- we have no kids, so we usually sleep in until 10 or so).

OTOH, I'm pretty wound up because I'm reaching the end of the 2WW, so that it could explain that. ;-)

Dx 1/2007 by endo--nothing much shows up on paper or ultrasound, but I've got symptoms and the eggos don't seem to leggo.

TTC since 10/07-- AF, but maybe no O. Queen of the land called Mittelschmerz this month.

Meds: 2000mg Metformin (discontinued Spiro & BCP's b/c TTC)

Lotions & Potions: GTA (desiccated thyroid supplement) and pre-natals. Stopped vitex to see how gta helps.

lol sounds like me!!! I went from wanting to throw the alarm in the morning to snapping awake at least 1/2 an hour before it goes off! It's actually pretty ironic to be honest since I used to be the chronic night person who slept all day.. secretly I'm enjoying it

LOL! Glad to hear I am not alone. Some mornings I used to literally wake up swearing and pounding on my alarm clock to get it to stop.
