Default Sugar bottoming out without warning

Over a year ago I was diagnosed with IR and told I was borderline Diabetic (whetever that meant). They diagnosed me because I would have hypoglycemic reactions. I was put on Metaformin untill my 2nd trimest of my pregnancy. After i lost the baby, I was put back on met and let go. No one mentioned retesting my sugars or anything. I started having bad dizzy spells and fainted a couple of times to which they had me start monitoring my own sugar levels. I noticed when I hit about 75 I'd start getting sick and would treat myself accordingly. Today I ran into a problem. I checked my sugar after my breakfast and it was 101 which is pretty much what it's been running (maybe a bit higher). I drank my coffee which had sugar in it but didnt' eat a snack as I lost track of time. At 10:00 I almost passed out. I checked my sugar and it was 62. Now I only missed my snack by 1/2 an hour and I had absolutely no warning whatsoever that my sugar and dropped so bad. I have felt very off all day since then. I don't know what to think about such a drastic drop (it was the lowest I've seen my sugar). I'm going to the dr. but I doubt they will be very helpful. Has anyone else had a situation where their reactions altered like this.

On a side note I drive an hour 1 way to work everyday and I don't even want to think what would have happened if I was driving whne this happened.

I'll be very curious to hear what your doctor has to say. I have also noticed sugar drops where I get the shakes and feel awful. I'll just be sitting there and suddenly will feel bad and shaky and then when I tested my sugars they were 70. Mine haven't gone under that, that I know of, but I must say, I've been bad lately and haven't been testing my sugars. I try to always have my snacks and since they haven't officially diagnosed me with Type II Diabetes, I've been lazy since before the holidays when I ran out of test strips. Type II Diabetes runs in my family and I had gestational diabetes with both pregnancies. On some of my last tests, my insulin level was very low. They endocrinologist said it was in Type I Diabetes range, but my blood sugars were not crazy, so she didn't know what to think about it. I think she is going to do a glucose tolerance test the next time I see her. Good luck with the doctor's appt
