Hi guys, I was wondering if people have tried many supermarket skin products and found the effective?
A friend of mine recommended Garnier and so far it seems to work, but my doc recently put me on AB's (antibiotics) to help clear my skin, and while it decreased the acne - I'm sure it has made areas splotchy.
I've seen a new Garnier product to help with imperfections and such like (Its some sort of peel) and I was wondering if people had experiences with such products and found them trustworthy? I'm a bit hesitant to use a peel, especially having no experience with them, I'm worried I'd cause a disaster

I use Loreal AcneResponse insteive peel....and nutrogena's peel, rotating them out, as well as the nutrogena mircrodebrasion kit. Using all 3, my skin has gotten better! My scars have fades, the rough spots are gone..and my skin is almost an all over even tone. I love them all....the Loreal one has 2 versions, just the regular peel then the acne insensive one. Its a 3 step thing, the nutrogrena peel is a one step..leave it on, wash it off thing. The micro kit I use like 3 times a week after I get out of the shower...I love them.

Cool, how much work goes into a peel. I've never done 1 b4 and I don't have heaps of time, are they relatively simple to use, cause I worry about messing up and making nasty patches that need to heal or something

depends on the kit. if its a 3 step, wash your face w/ step 1, step 2 you put a toner of sorts on. let it sit for xx amount of time. then you apply a creme that stops the reaction. and thats it. if its a one step, i still wash my face first, then you put the stuff on which is more like a mask thing...let it sit for xx number of minutes and wash it off with warm water. thats it...its super easy! and ive left it on longer than i shoulda before and never had any issues.

That's good to know. It's a 2 step, the peel step (step 2) was freaking me a bit, it said about applying with cotton wool pads and then I saw the word peel in the description and freaked out. I associate peel with things like chemical peels and I've seen how nasty they are!
