Question Supplements and BFing

Is there any reason a B-Complex with C (plus multi, plus iron (every other day or so), plus fish oil) would be not-ok while BFing? Can you OD on B vitamins?

BTW, I posted this on the mommy board:

I was having major numb/tingling sensations in my toes and attributed this to yet another wierd PP phonomenon. I take a multi-vit. and iron and recently added B-complex because I've been so tired PP I thought it might help (I think it did). My toes got better right away, but I didn't associate the two until I read this last night:

Q: I am a retired doctor with type 2 diabetes. Metformin has kept my blood sugar in the normal range for 10 years. Despite good control, my foot numbness was getting worse. I was also a little unsteady on my feet.

In reviewing the medical literature, I discovered that metformin interferes with vitamin B-12. I suspected I might be deficient in this nutrient, so I started oral vitamin B-12.

Within a week, I noticed a sharpening of my mental capacity. I stopped having any trouble walking, and my foot numbness has decreased.

Many older diabetics take metformin, and their subtle neurologic and mental deficits may be overlooked but could be treated.

A: Thank you for pointing out that metformin (Glucophage) can deplete the body of vitamin B-12. This can lead to serious neurological symptoms if not corrected promptly.

I've been taking a B complex the whole time (since pre-pregnancy). And A C vitamin. I've found nothing that suggests that it's contraindicated for breastfeeding.
