It got deleted after some people said some really terrible things to her...But she's still around...she plays on the gaming boards most nights....

Jane 0886. SHe was the one who was so concerned she tried to contact Surrendered therepist.
She felt so bad about hte aftermath that she left SC....
She was very nice. I miss her.

I didn't get to read the bad things that were said, but it amazes me how people can be cruel to someone going through a crisis. How would Jane even know how to contact SC's therapist?

Sari, no one was cruel to her. Some of us encouraged her to admit herself to a hospital where she could be better helped. I have some of the posts if you want to see them but honestly, she has to want help to get better. We are not qualified to help her here and shouldn't encourage her by feeling sorry for her. She needs friends who encourage her to take action for her illness. I know she is a sweet cyster!
I'm proud of Jane for going above and beyond to save a cyster's life. I think she truly thought SC might harm herself, and she couldn't stand by and watch it. Personally, as someone who's sister killed herself by hanging --without warning anyone -- I get put off by people who bitterly fling accusations at others who are trying to give good, loving advice. I get put off by people who say things like "if I were anyone else I would have hung myself by now." Really?
Statements like that upset me quite a bit, actually. They feel a little bit like attention grabs. Threatening suicide for attention is a pretty cold and manipulative thing to do.
That said, I hope SC is well and getting the help she needs. I really do. I also hope Jane returns. She did nothing but try to save a cyster.
She is a wonderful cyster and I really miss her!!!!

The post in question was the third time that I saw her crying for help and talking of suicide. The first time she did it, it upset me and I posted saying if she felt that bad she needed more than just an appt with a therapist, she needed to be admitted to the hospital. The second time I still gave support, but the third time my support was probably a bit more blunt. There are only so many times that you can tell people who are having severe mental problems and suicidal thoughts, "It's ok. It will get better. I'm so sorry you are going through this." There comes a time when you have to say "HEY! GET HELP NOW!" I don't think saying that constitutes being mean but SC saw a few of us saying that as a direct attack and the thread got ugly from there.
I too hope she is doing ok and getting the help she needs. As for how Jane came to find her therapists name, SC put her name on a thread where she was talking of suicide saying "Tell so-and-so that she didn't listen." I too admire Jane for going to those lengths to help out a cyster.
I am glad to see people really care about Kris...I really adore her and think that she is just a wonderful and sweet person. But I think it would be best if this thread tried to stay clear of talking about her w/o her being party to defend herself.
Also, I know that many people that posted in responce to Kris were caring and concerned....One in particular was not at all. She actually encouraged SC to commit suicide....Which I find beyond horrible!
