There's no way I'm reading all the posting in the previous 105 pages, it's just too depressing how many of us have these things in common. But here's my list:

PCOS
Uterine Fibroids
Retroverted Uterus
Allergies
Chronic Sinusitis
Clinical Depression (handled thru exercise/supplements)
Mild Scoliosis
Arthritis in my neck
Carpal Tunnel
Either IBS or Food Allergies to Wheat (cleared up on lower carb diet)
Obesity (cured, now I'm just "overweight")
Addiction to running (which is how I cured the obesity)

I forgot to add: Breast Cancer/Phyllodes Tumor. The jury is still out in the medical field as to whether a phyllodes tumor is actually cancer or not. I had a golf ball sized phyllodes tumor removed from my right breast in April 2006.

Only the first 5 issues bother me, and of course there are the lovely things that come along with PCOS that I have to deal with (acne, facial/body hair, etc.) As for my Rxs - I currently only use Nasonex for the allergies/sinus problems and Phentermine for the PCOS related weight issues. (Multi vitamin, calcium, omega 3 fish oil, B-12, and cinnamon as supplements)

Other than PCOS, hypoglycemia, and insulin resistance, I have asthma, schizoaffective (bipolar type), irritable bowel syndrome, borderline personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder with agoraphobia, migraines, insomnia, retroverted uterus, chronic daily headache, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. I have been diagnosed with other things in the past, but these are the current things I am being treated for.

well, besides the normal PCOS stuff...

depression(diagnosed in the 5th grade)

mild dyslexia (basically i can't spell anything. Thank God for spell check.)

Acanthosis Nigricans (haven't officially been dxed, but i see it, it is totally there.)

Von Willibran's Disease (a bleeding disorder which made things really bad when we were trying to start BCPs and so i bled for 1 week, then 2 then 3 and then ended up in the hospital due to a massive amount of blood loss.)(basically my blood doesn't clot very well. now when i get my period i get out of breath when just walking up stairs and i am always tired for the duration.)

REALLY bad vision (I had a "lazy eye" in the 2nd grade and my eyesight is absolutely horrid)

I can not remember anything. like ever. My memory is ridiculously horrible.

Oh and i think i am getting carpal tunnel because of all the crocheting i do. My wrists hurt like crazy.

I think that is about it. God, i hate life sometimes. but only cause it hated me first.

After reading pages and pages of this thread it seems that so many of us have so so so many of the same issues. It really makes me wonder how much of it is linked to the PCOS.

IBS
Panic Attacks
Chronic Major Depression
Anxiety Disorder
PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)

I'm only 29, but here goes:

  • I grew up in the Northeast and had constant broncitis in the winter and allergies all year round. I moved to Florida 11 years ago and that all stopped.
  • At 19 was told I had a herniated disc in my neck.
  • At 23 was told I had a herniated disc in my lower back affecting the right sciatic nerve.
  • At 26 had a cyst erupt and told I had PCOS, but not to worry.
  • At 27 was told by another doc I didn't have PCOS.
  • At 29 told again I do have PCOS.
  • At 29 told I have Endometriosis.
  • At 29 told there is a possibility of Fibroids.
  • At 29 told I have Psuedotumor Cerebri (fluid behind eyes not draining - common among girls my age with reproductive problems - this all stemmed from suddenly getting headaches when I never get them)
  • At 29 told I suffer from Depression.
  • At 29 told I suffer from Anxiety.

Hi there,
I have PCOS, Endo (Hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery), Ross River Virus, IBS, double discectomy going to end up more than likely fused (hopefully not for anoth 5 years, but at the moment I don't have any pain compared to what I used to have!) Um let me see what else? Many surfing injuries but they are more due to stupidity than pcos! I'm very knock kneed and pidgeon toed and my self esteem is pretty crook too.
Other than that a shining example of health!

Well here goes my list:

Thin PCOS - acne, large ovarian cysts (think grapefruit), super heavy super painful periods (when I get one), hair loss, mood swings, etc - continuous BCPatch
Endometriosis
Hypothyroidism - Synthroid 0.075mg
Seasonal Allergies - Aerius, Nasonex, Patanol
Food Allergies - can't eat wheat, gluten, dairy, meats (forced to be Vegan!)
IBS/Acid Reflux - Pepto Bismol (it's the best!)
Hip Dysplacia - Naproxen 250mg, Ibuprofen 600mg when needed
Lower back pain due to fractured vertebrae 6 years ago
Teeth Clencher - I wear a retainer at night to prevent tooth damage
Severe Migraines
Thalessemia Minor - Iron, Vit b12

This is all I can think of for now...but I can see a trend for a lot of us...
