What a list so many of us have. I had one Doctor tell me I have these problems because I am fat. Well news is I had many of these problems even when I was thin. Here goes my list.

PCOS-1500mg Glucophage

Systemic Lupus -celebrex(did not help)than vioxx(did not help) do not know what next, possible anti malarial drugs who knows.
When I started have all the missed periods and than bled like crazy I thought it was lupus related. Lupus is an autoimmune disorder where the body is basically allergic to it self. The body will attack it's own tissues and can affect any system in the body. At the moment I eat motrin like candy. Too many syemtoms with this to go into at this time.

Fibromyalgia(severe muscle pain)-Motrin

Horrible eye sight since childhood(I am 31 and wear No line bi-focs)

IR-1500mg Glucophage and low-carb diet

Headaches almost everyday- tylonal or motrin

Obese Belly -trying to ride exercise bike and walking as well as low-carbing.

Moodeness-Husband listens and gives back rubs
he is very patient.

Recovering Nurse( I now stay at home and home school our son , but once a nurse always a nurse, so yep you got it, I am a terrible pt.)

Unable to get pregnant- no meds to help here

Fatigue-naps

Hair loss and gain in wrong places.

Skin tags on neck and underarm and back-just live with um.

Dry itchy skin-scratch

Allergic to all kinds of stuff in the air as well as cats, chickens, rabbits, and several other animals(praise God I can have my dog no allergies there)-25mg Diphenhydramine

Now that I feel like I am a hypocondriackkk-ackk ackkk.
I shall sign off. All in the name of science or perhaps some get it off your chest therapy. LOL.

Wow what a lot of responses!! I feel extremely healthy after reading all this!

I have:
- PCOS but the only symptoms are irregular hormones, polycystic ovaries, variable metabolism and odd odd odd periods
- one eye (left) due to a retinoblastoma from birth (removed at 18 months old)
- mega short-sightedness (-6.75)

but that is all - and enough

Nat

Okay - why not? Although my list pales in comparison to others.

IBS
Gallbladder removed 12/96
Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder
Generalized Anxiety
Sciatica
Tendinitis in wrist
Mild allergies (some flowers, dust, mold)
Oddly enough I have been known to grind my teeth - however if I go to bed in a good mood - rare as it is - I DON'T grind my teeth!
Overweight for a year and half now
My husband says that talking too much should be a syndrome all its own - but as of yet it hasn't been officially diagnosed! LOL

I do find it odd that most of us - at least the posts I could find - suffered from stomach disorders and anxiety disorders. I'm not sure if you ladies have been told this - or if you've read about it - but irritable bowel syndrome is made worse by anxiety.
I'm really interested to know how our mothers fared in the health area? Maybe, just maybe our pcos is linked to our mothers and something they had to take while pregnant - and not so much just a family gene?? I hope that statement doesn't sound stupid - It was just a thought.

Amazing and fascinating - so i gotta join in:
PCOS (duh) - hairy, annovulatory, oily skin, dizzy spells, IR
GERD - Gastroesophageal Reflux - debilitating heartburn and esophageal spasms
TMJ - not bad recently
Teeth grinding - used to wake up my sisters when i was little!
Sciatica
And tho not dx - it feels like i have IBS and a touch of the bi-polar, tho maybe it's just hormones and mood swings.

Oh ho! This is where I belong! O.K., here goes --
besides "classic" pcos symptoms since age 13
*IBS 2001
*GERD 2001
*gallbladder surgery 2001
*hysterectomy 1991 (cervical dysplasia)/still have ovaries
*sciatica
*constant and/or severe joint/muscle aches -esp. hips to knees
*TMJ
*very sore heels (not Dx'd) - sometimes can't stand in a.m. pain is still bad after sleep
*recurrent rashes in specific (same) areas
*toenail fungus
*heart palpitations Dx'd as "non-specific anxiety"
*hypoglycemia
*breathing problems not Dx'd yet (trying)
*Swollen ankles/calves/feet/hands in a.m.
*exhaustion upon awakening in a.m.
*severe constipation
*myopia/astigmatism
*severe hearing loss from birth
*boils in groin
*constant headache (atenolol meds help)
*severely dry/obssessively itchy skin
styes on eyelids
*severe mood swings
*dizziness/nausea even after gallbladder surgery
AND JUST GENERALLY FEEL SICK ALWAYS
Now, if I've left anything out, it's only because I already feel better for getting all that off my chest. The Dr.s usually just say, well, come back in 3 months and "we'll talk about it some more". So, I guess I really look like a hypochondriac! Or am I just my own worst critic?

This was not supposed to be a competition of who is the most ill LOL!

Anyways ladies- I see alot of patterns here. Have many of you been told that some of your problems are weight related. CATCH 22, the weight 1/2 the time is from the PCOS, yet they say most your probs are from the weight? Round and round I go.....
