Me too! I had a Novasure Ablation, and it's been wonderful for me. No period whatsoever. The uncertainty of when it's going to come (never regular) and the really heavy bleeding/clotting I'd been suddenly having starting three months before is finally over. I'm done with family (one child), so for my husband and me, this was such a relief.

You asked for it lol! This is the medical history I give all my doctors (among other papers I type up) which is updated every month or so. I'm very proactive about my health and when I see a doc I want them to be informed and ready to get started ASAP! Some symptoms have been removed as they improve or go away and some symptoms are just to small to list or I forget about them.

Known Conditions:
Hypothyroidism (treated with .05mg Levoxyl, double dose on Sunday)
Liver Disease (unspecified, probably fatty liver) as of 3/1/09 Liver enzymes are normal
Celiac Disease (Gluten free since August 2007)
Endometrial Cancer (stage 1, treated with Megase from 3/10/09 to 7/21/09)
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome w/Insulin Resistance (untreated due to allergy to Metformin)
Sleep Apnea (Diagnosed but currently don’t use a CPAP)
Migraines
Asthma (Mild, use inhaler ~ 4 times a year)
Anxiety/Depression/PTSD (treated with Xanax when needed)
Lactose Intolerance
Anemia and Mild Vitamin/Mineral Deficiencies
Allergies (Dust, Dander, Mold, Pollen, Grass, Pets, Chemicals, Perfumes, medical tape/bandages etc)

Digestive Symptoms:
Occasional diarrhea and constipation that comes and goes even on a gluten-free diet. Triggers: GF baked goods or pasta, coffee, dairy, tuna fish. Symptoms include:
Gas
Bloating
Intestinal Pain
Pain in lower left quadrant

Neurological Symptoms:
Migraines
Motion Sickness
Dizziness
Headaches
Mental Fog/Confusion

Psychological Symptoms:
Depression/Anxiety (Result of PTSD from childhood abuse. Managed with Xanax)
Insomnia

Muscular, Bone and Joint Symptoms:
Muscle Cramps (Improved with Levoxyl and diet)
Muscle Lock-Up (Improved with Levoxyl and diet)
Painful tightening/squeezing feeling in legs after sitting or standing for more than a few minutes.
Lower Back Pain (especially after sitting, standing or bending. Possible Sciatica?)
Upper Back Pain (due to chest size)
Pain and swelling in all my joints, especially in cold/rainy weather.
Joints have to be popped a lot, especially fingers, angles, wrists and jaw.

Reproductive Symptoms:
Menstrual Bleeding or missing periods (nonstop bleeding that lasts for months on end and is very heavy followed by months of no cycle at all). Cause was determined to be stage 1 endometrial cancer from untreated PCOS.

Severe cramps and ovary pain
Infertility

Sleeping Problems:
Night Sweats
Sleep Apnea
Night Terrors (PTSD)
Sleep Paralysis
Snoring
Salivation (excessive drooling in sleep)
Chronic Fatigue (Improved with Iron/Levoxyl)
Insomnia

Miscellaneous Symptoms:
Difficulty swallowing. Pills get stuck in my throat at a certain point. Sometimes feels like something in my throat is being blocked or is swollen. I choke on food and drinks a lot (like it’s going down the wrong pipe). Neck ultrasound showed no swelling/tumors.
Hirsutism (Excessive hair growth on my face, neck, shoulders, chest and stomach. Improved on Progesterone/Levoxyl)
Severe Weight Gain (180 pounds in ten years. Attempts to lose weight unsuccessful until 10/08 with Levoxyl, Progesterone, Cinnamon and Personalized Diet)
Heavy flaking and build up of skin cells on head. Most likely dandruff/cradle cap. (Improved while on Progesterone/Levoxyl and T-Gel Shampoo)
Extremely sensitive to sunlight, burn within minutes.
Sensitivity to acidic substances. Tomatoes/lemons/Vinegar etc create blisters in my mouth and hands. Chemicals like band-aid adhesive or cleaners give me chemical burns.
Skin Tags
Chest pain, sometimes sharp, sometimes constrictive making it hard to breath. (EKG normal)
Chronic sinus infections (Improved since starting daily Singulair and Nasal Lavage)
Hypersensitivity to drugs like caffeine and Benadryl
Thinning hair/eyelashes. (Improved since taking Levoxyl)
I don’t have a lingual frenulum under my tongue so I can swallow my tongue.
I developed a Dowagers Hump. Runs in the family.

Default Omg!

Oh my gosh!! Have you ladies heard of Dysregulation Spectrum Syndrome? It is worth looking up. Most of our diagnosis seem to be tied up under this fancy name!!! I will ask my doctors about this.

Wow. I've noticed a lot of us have the teeth grinding and TMJ. That's a little too coincidental if you ask me. >_< Hmm...something to ponder.

Wow, I feel like I complain a lot...but I guess that's just how other ppl make me feel.

Here's my list of Hell, besides the obvious (PCOS):

*Heart Palpitations (Presently being tested for diagnosis)
*TMJ & Teeth Grinding
*Depression
*Joint Pain
*Tingling of the lips, hands, and feet
*Frequent UTI's
*Anemia/Severe Iron Deficiency
*Anxiety/Panic Attacks
*Headaches
*Dizziness
*'Brain Fog'
*Frequent Ear Infections/Sinus Infections

I have PCOS, Insulin Resistance, and a prolactinoma (Pituitary tumour). All endocrine related disorders. I also suffered from Asthma but it's very controlled now. I also have allergies, and I used to suffer from teeth grinding (I don't any more but I noticed so many other do! - Mine stopped when one of my major stressors got lost, I still have stress obvoiuly but I don't grind anymore.

I believe all endocrine disorders can be linked, but I'm no doctor! lol : ) If you research your endocrine it's very interesting.

My PCOS causes weight issues, depression, hair loss, and missed periods when not on the pill. My tumour causes missed periods as well, so it was hard to see the PCOS - but when I went off the pill to try to concieve and my periods went down to months apart... then to nothing, and still no conception -- the PCOS became more obvoius.
