Smile My diagnoses

This is actually my first post . The reason I joined is to try to find other people that have PCOS and Epilepsy. I also have arthritis in both thumbs and just recently my toes.

clinical depression, scoliosis, endometriosis, and a positive ana which suggests an auto immune problem. i didn't follow up on that because it's so hard to diagnose those things. the doc who did the test said it was likely lupus because of symptoms i had at the time, but those symptoms have been gone for several years... so i dunno.

Default Response to Christilee and ANA

I've been told that a positive ANA indicates there is inflammation in the body, usually chronic. My ANA score goes back and forth between being positive and negative. But my C-Reactive has always stayed elevated, both for Infection and for Cardiac (CPK).

hi
I was diagnosed with PCOS 10 years ago. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Hypermobility Syndrome. I ache and have chronic pain everyday. I suspect I may be depressed at the mo' but am yet to get a diagnosis.

Well, there was no way I was going to get through all 115 pages of replies tonight. In general, I think you should read a whole thread, but I figure this one was created for fact gathering so:
Became sick in mid-teens. Dx at the time was Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Later I have had diagnoses of chronic Lyme Disease and Bartonella (also a tick-borne disease), fibromyalgia, and autoimmune disease. When it comes to some problems, I'm not sure if they'd be considered symptoms of a diagnosis or a diagnosis in and of themselves. But I'll just list them and you can take away from it what you will: vulvodynia/vulvar vestibulitis, iron deficiency anemia, vitamin D deficiency, sinusitis/rhinitis which is particularly severe at night, chronic deblitating bilateral foot pain (Drs. disagree about how to dx that; some say plantar fasciitis, some disagree, etc.), insomnia/delayed sleep phase disorder, irritable bowel syndrome (I think it's considered fairly mild IBS), used to have a lot of problems with nausea and stomach pain but much less now, hip pain that interferes with sleep, heat intolerance/hot flashes?, really cold hands and really really cold feet despite the rest of me feeling too hot, depression (have a sneaking suspicion that one's related to the above laundry list)

I started having PCOS symptoms at around age 20, a few years after becoming sick with the fatigue and pain. I wonder if the Insulin Resistance was brought on by the inactivity caused my other illness.

I have a seizures and PCOS as well and there are sometimes I think I have ADD. My doctor told me that we need to get my seizures under control before they try to figure out whether or not I do ADD and possibly messing around with all of my meds.

Default The life of the party.

Along with PCOS I have depression, joint pain(particulary knees), chronic neck pain, nearsighted, sensitivity to sunlight, fluorescent light aggravates my migraines, chronic fatigue, sleep apnea, TMJ, food color and preservatives allergy...anyone care to dance!!!!Ha Ha Ha

I am 36 but once I turned 30 and all my PCOS symptoms came out full force, I felt 50. So I guess now I feel 56. I truly believe PCOS accelerates aging somehow. I should never have felt so old so young. It was just all of a sudden.

I was diagnosed with IBS when i was about 8. They were going to do an emergency appendix removal and then decided to check one more thing.
I was diagnosed PCOS when i was 18. I was born with allergies to seasonal things due to genetics. Same with poor eyesight. I was supposed to die before i was 3 becuase the doctor had misdiagnosed me with a whole bunch of different diseases including cerebral palsy and a degenative spine. My mom was told i would never walk talk or do anything on my own if i did get past 3 years.
