SURVEY: What else have u been diagnosed with? Part 2
SURVEY: What else have u been diagnosed with? Ok so I have surfed the boards. My question is : What other medical diagnosis do you have besides PCOS? I want to see if there is a pattern of some things that have not normally been associated with PCOS.
SO soulcysters.......what problems have you had that the drs have told you it is probably NOT related to the PCOS conditions.
And now, in reading the responses and seeing that we have some non pcos problems in common, does anyone think that these problems are being overlooked as PCOS symptoms?
I've been diagnosed with:
High Blood Pressure
Cushings (but then they retracted the diagnosis and it's still up in the air)
Ocular Migraines
Irritable Bowel
IBS w/ constipation
Chronic Hemmorhoids due to IBS (Ive had a flare up now for over 2 months)
Acid reflux disorder
Cushings (due to adrenal tumor)
Chronic fatigue Syndrome

Wow. Lots of us with IBS or similar bowel disorders. Wonder if that is related? I had my PCOS dx years before the IBS dx, and was told they had nothing to do with each other. Really?!?

PCOS
Endometriosis
Interstitial Cystitis
Tilted uterus
2 uterine fibroids
insulin resistance
allergies
trichotillomania (only during certain times in my cycle)
I was just diagnosed with PCOS, Metabolic syndrome and endometriosis a week ago. I have suspected the PCOS for quite some time now but my periods are regular and happen like clock work so I thought maybe I was wrong but now I know.
I also have......
gas (especially at bedtime)
diarrhea (1-2 times a week and then really bad during that time of the month), my doctor says the endometrioses is probably causing this.
allergies
asthma
acne - face, back, chest
facial hair - chin, upper lip
overweight especially around the middle
crave sugar
hard time consentrating and remembering things
tired a lot
oily skin
lower back pain
ok I'm just falling apart
My doctor suggested I go on the Yaz pill to help relieve some of the symptoms but I really didn't want to go on the pill. I started researching on the internet and came across Insulite Labs PCOS program and it sounds great! The drawback is having to take so many pills a day but if it makes me better then it is worth it. I ordered a month's supply and they should be here next Tuesday. I was already going to start a new eating plan and exercise plan (which they offer) so it is good timing for me. I read the string of forums on this site and it seems like most that try the program have great results. I figure it definitely can't be worse.
IBS in my 20s (though it went away for years & recently came back)
Arthritis (but neg for RA)
HLA-B27 mutation (autoimmune predisposition)
Prothrombin mutation (clotting disorder)
Ocular migraines all my adult life
Prediabetes
Reflux
