Default sweaty/BO?? (eww, I know)

Ever since I started having PCOS symptoms, I've had this problem of sweating a lot and having stinky arm pits! (sorry)

I haven't found a deodorant that works for me. They even smell bad the second I get out of the shower after scrubbing with deodorant soap.

Suggestions?

Stephanie

You know what I have found that helps? Make sure you dry off all the way, then use body or baby powder along with the antiperspirant (make sure it says that and not just deodorant) and I don't use any fancy brand, just the Suave knockoff of Secret Oh and on days that I'm feeling really special, I use the Teen Spirit antipers. with the Caribbean Cool scent, just what I used to use in high school, brings back memories LOL. And plus if it is formulated for teenage bodies, it must have to deal with fluctuating hormones and all.

My armpit skin actually split and cracked and was constantly sweaty. Skin tags appeared as well, which made it even more painful to shave in that area. I have to scrub there so much more and make sure to use a lot of Secret.

I also found that Secret works under my breasts and on my lower back, where I tend to sweat the most. Ugh!

Thumbs up Drysol Works

I can totally relate to the sweating Yuck! I have sweat excessively since I was a teenager, when I had asked Dr's they would suggest the same things antipersperant etc. Well when my dd went to her first dance and was very self consious about the sweat. I just felt horrible for her. I was bound and determined that she would not have to deal with what I did.
Her doctor prescribed a product called drysol (Aluminum Chloride-Hexahydrate 20%) that you apply 2 nights in a row and can keep you dry for 2-4 weeks. We still use deod/anti, but it works like it does on a "normal" person. It is an absolute blessing!

I personally find the teen deodorants not strong enough for me... the best thing I have found for my armpits if Secret Platinum protection. It's a little pricier than the regular but it works.

One product I want to warn you to stay clear of is Gillette Soft & Dri Power Stripe. Gave me armpit boils, a problem I never had before or since! I had 3 boils in each pit - first the left, then the right - then I said OK, no more of this stuff. Ouch!

Of course your milage may vary...

Crotch sweat is the one that really gets me. I swear my crotch stinks right after I shower... and I mean BO stink not "feminine odor." There's nothing feminine about it!

VegSteph,
i have the same problem. however, it seems like if i drink a lot of water then the stinky smell decreases. so maybe if you add another 2-3 cups of water then the smell will die down a bit.
