Default Sweaty sweaty sweat!!!!

Ok so I have been on my meds now for almost 1 month. I have done the upset stomach here and there, the COMPLETE exhaustion is what really got me. But NOW I am having this sweating problem. Is this normal? I usually dont sweat a lot but for some reason all i have to do is walk and i break out in a sweat. I am 25 and I feel like my mom who is 55 and going through menapouse. Hot flashes! Its really terrible and embaressing. Like I said i dont sweat that much, maybe after a good workout but not just walking to my car. ITS THE WORST!!!! Please tell me I am not alone and is this normal? Thanks guys!!!

I am on 2000 mg of met and have only been on met since july 31 of this year. I don't sweat much during the day because I work indoors. I sweat more at night. I will wake up around 2am and just be soaked with sweat. I really don't notice it during the day much..but that doesn't mean I don't. In the middle of the night I just can't seem to get cool enough. That may be hormones playing tricks on me, I just don't know. It seems to be getting worse now that I am on medication. Before I was on met, i would wake up sweating, but not this bad...I also noticed that I have to get up in the middle of the night at least once to use the bathroom too...I just don't know what is going on...Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Hi all, I'm brand new posting here though I've been "lurking" for a little while.

I'm a big-time sweater! Mine seems somewhat hormone/insulin-related but mostly due to anxiety. I'm a fairly new nurse and I work in an intensive care setting (great idea for a person with anxiety issues, btw-lol) and as soon as I walk in the hospital I begin dripping with sweat.
It also happens occasionally while I'm sleeping and when I exert myself, esp. in the heat (but I do live in FL). I'm overweight, but I haven't always sweated like this, and other overweight people I know definitely don't sweat like this. But mostly it seems to happen when I'm terribly anxious, and it mostly pours from my head--into my eyes, down my cheeks and neck, my hair is soaked. It's so gross and embarrassing.

So just know you're not alone. I'm not on Met so that's not the issue for me, but if you just started sweating when starting the Met, I'd assume the two things were related. Not sure what to do about it either way, though, sorry. Maybe someone with some answers will see this...But I'm definitely here with support.

It is now 3:38 am and not only did the night sweating wake me up, I couldn't go back to sleep because I was too HOT...I got up, messed with the thermostat and of course, had to go pee. I crawled back into bed, tossed and turned for about 30 to 45 minutes and just couldn't cool off. I was afraid I would wake my dh up, so I got up and now am typing on the computer...this is driving me absolutely nuts...It would be nice to be able to sleep through the night again. I guess me and the doc are going to have a heart to heart about the sweating ordeal...

I am glad that I don't sweat during the day, though...I don't have that problem...good luck to you and don't be embarrassed...I see people all the time (not just women, either) that look like they just got out of the shower, so it isn't anyting to be embarrassed about...

Hell I sweat day and night. I am constantly in front of a FAN!!! But when I am here at work I am chilling I am real cold. This is weird. But this morning I was taking out the trash and the sweat was running down my neck. My hair came un curled becasue the sweat just was puring down my head and forehead. Grrr...this happens every year I have gotten used to it. I just turn the fans on through out the house when getting ready in the morning.

I sweat like crazy all the time. Get a good strong deoderant. Since I've been on BCP's it has lightened up under my arms and stuff but I sweat everywhere. It's very annoying and NASTY!! I think, just try different things. Hang in there we'll make it

OMG, I am so glad I am not the only one! I sweat at the drop of a hat and I also have the night sweats and I hate it! But I don't know what to do about it. Oh well, just one more thing for us cysters to go through I suppose.

what you describe is hyperhydrosis. I can highly recommend an antipersparant called odaban. It is aluminium chloride based and will stop or reduce greatly the sweating. I had this problem also caused by some meds when i had depression a while back and this really helped lots. You can get it on ebay but i am sure there are other sites that it can be bought from. Hope this helps
